The dixmude of the National Order of Merit is a bar of moiré fabric in the color “Bleu de France”. A blue rosette is sewn onto a white fabric braid. The dixmude has a length of 36 millimeters and a width of 10 millimeters. It attaches to the chest, at the pocket level, using a double safety pin.
